Monday Myth Debunkers: We Don’t Watch Every Self Tape.

π—›π—²π—Ώπ—²β€™π˜€ π˜π—΅π—² π˜€π—°π—Όπ—Όπ—½:

Are you sending your self tapes out into the ether?

Are we actually watching 𝘦𝘒𝘀𝘩 𝘒𝘯π˜₯ 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 self tape we request?

Let’s re-frame this question in order to better answer it:

Would we be requesting tapes we have no interest in watching?

Our answer is an emphatic 𝙣𝙀.

We assure you, we are in the business of finding the best actor for the role, not the business of wasting anyone’s time.

Your time (just like anyone else’s) hold value.

Trust that we know and understand that.

Trust that part of 𝘰𝘢𝘳 job is to only select the actors who we undoubtedly believe stand a chance at booking the job.

And for that reason alone, we watch every single self tape (or at least, the first few seconds).

If we don’t believe what you’re saying in the first 15 seconds, yes, your tape may not be watched all the way through.

But if you show up authentically and do the work, know (and trust!) that your tape will be watched in its entirety.
