It’s about time for a little #castingmythdebunker
As CDs, our biggest problem to solve is finding multiple actors to nail an audition.
So if asking a question helps you deliver an amazing performance, why wouldn’t we want that?
Thoughtful questions show you’re prepared, engaged, and committed to bringing your A-game. It’s not amateur hour – it’s professional dedication.
Maybe you need clarification on the character’s motivation, or you’re curious about the tone of a specific scene. Asking shows you’re thinking appropriately about the work and aiming for excellence.
Remember, your success is our success.
Text analysis gives you the skills to find clues on your own to create the best choice possible. But sometimes those clues are not so obvious.
That’s when you ask.
If you ever feel unsure about asking: remember that it’s your job to ask and it’s OUR job to answer
