One of our widely used casting programs for viewing auditions is Cast It. Many studios prefer casting offices use Cast It, specifically because it’s the only program available where studio also gets direct access to ALL auditions.
Not all executives may view auditions but the point is that they can.
What does this mean for you?
Not a whole lot—other than the hopeful validation that once again, a self tape request is a big deal. And even though it may feel like your tape is going into a black void, it’s very much getting viewed, and sometimes by multiple people before even making it to producers!
It’s not uncommon for a studio exec to watch someone’s audition and ask how we felt about that actor.
Essentially, it’s more exposure to your work.
Further proving that great work never goes unnoticed.
