Cast It is one of the two main platforms we use to watch your self tapes. It’s a giant database that houses all of the self tapes & demo reels we collect for a particular project.
Another fun feature about this platform is the easy way in which we can search for actors and their auditions from past projects in our office.
Breakdown has a similar feature but what’s nice about Cast It is that we can easily move your previous clips into a current list we are working on.
This means, copying over a demo reel or an old self tape that we loved in order to further show evidence that you’re perfect for a role is a breeze.
Pro tip: uploading your demo reel (make sure you pick the appropriate genre) with your self tapes is generally never a bad idea. If we don’t think it will help, we can always delete the clip on our end. But it saves us a great deal of time if we end up needing to request it/download/upload it ourselves.
