The amount of choices we send to our creative team varies and depends mostly on 1. how many people were right for the role and 2. the size of the role.
On average, we typically send anywhere between 5-10 choices per role, per round, as to not overwhelm the team with too many choices at once.
They are sent a link and can then view your self tapes via their computers, tablets or phones.
Typically, there is an internal discussion between the director, writer and showrunner (for TV) or between the director and EPs (for film).
Sometimes these discussions happen over a big email chain, sometimes they talk amongst themselves and then call or email us back on the chain.
Sometimes the decisions are quick and with certainty.
Other times, they require more discussions with casting or even some more digging on our end.
Either way, this is how our collaboration begins.
Once they make a choice, it’s off to the studio and/or network for casting approval.
