We’re changing gears on Tuesdays and transitioning from acting/set Terminology to some facts that you didn’t (or did!) know about casting and our process.
Let’s discuss the orange star.
Did you know that certain actor submissions come with this little orange star? (swipe to see what we’re talking about).
The orange star signifies that the actor has auditioned for us.
And even more: we are able to watch all of your past auditions as a refresher!
Note that we are ONLY able to access auditions that were set up by OUR office, no one else’s.
Actors either love that we have access to their past auditions or it can make them nervous.
A few things to keep in mind:
1. We usually ONLY choose to watch your past auditions if we think we know who you are and need a little refresher on how we know/met you.
OR
2. Your materials seemed out of date so we looked to your past auditions to see something more current.
3. Focus on the positive: feeling extra good about your auditions lately but not getting any bookings? Beside the fact that your auditions can very well be sent to producers without your knowledge, now you have another reason to be proud. When you continuously turn in great work, not only do we remember, but we have a way of watching it back well after the fact.
