Pitches can be incredibly helpful tools for reps, actors and casting.
We generally utilize our casting platforms first (Breakdown Express, Casting Networks, etc.) but sometimes, for one reason or another, we miss someone.
That’s where pitches can be incredibly helpful.
Pitches can highlight a missed submission or it can persuade us to read someone who we had initially passed on.
The key to a good pitch is specificity—having careful consideration put into the pitch, along with streamlined/easy-to-find materials.
Not all reps pitch and they don’t pitch for every type of role.
Most importantly: the stronger the materials, the stronger and more effective the pitch will be.
