Disclaimer: a creative team pitch does not look the same for every office.
This is just a rough idea of what they can look like.
Some CDs don’t list out each name (they just send a link).
Some CDs hyperlink the actors reel in each name.
Some CDs prefer to go over each audition with the team via a Zoom or in-person meeting.
Either way, what are your takeaways?
Notice how in this particular project/example, there are pitches from 2 regions.
If we are shooting outside of LA/NY and are working with a local casting director, we typically prefer to work together in order to pitch our selects at the same.
That way, producers are able to look at all options at once.
Usually the creative team members on these emails include (but is not limited to) the showrunner(s), EPs, director of the ep and casting team.
They’ll start to weigh in via the email or will want to discuss further via phone/Zoom.
Either way, this pitch email is the first step in deciding who is going to book the role.
